We all strive to be happy, but lots of times, it’s easier said than done. Whether we’re doom scrolling, turning the news on, getting work email after work email, swiping endlessly on dating apps, or just going grocery shopping and seeing the price of things – there are lots of things nowadays that can get us down.
But don’t let doom and gloom take over your life! If you want to be happy, there are some simple things you can start doing every day that are sure to put a smile on your face. What are they? Here are some habits you should start integrating into your daily – or at least weekly - life.
- Name three things you’re grateful for
- Take warm baths and take your time doing it
- Make a complete fool of yourself
- Eat a happy meal (and it doesn’t have to be one from McDonalds!)
- Dance or sing while doing chores
- Talk to your animals and plants
- Listen to good news
- Give 20-second hugs
- Do small acts of kindness
- Get creative
