If your quest to become an Instagram star hasn’t paid off yet, you may want to turn your attention to your dog. In the case of 5-year-old golden retriever Tucker Budzyn, the pooch clears a cool $1 million a year on YouTube and ‘gram posts. Tucker’s owner Courtney Budzyn breaks down the payout, saying, “A YouTube-paid post can be anywhere from $40,000 to $60,000 for a 30-minute pre-roll, while Instagram, we make about $20,000 for anywhere from three to eight stories.”
And Budzyn’s not alone. A sheepadoodle named Bunny who has over 8 million TikTok followers earns between $4,997 to $8,328 per post, while the famous “Doug the Pug” has 6 million TikTok followers and earns anywhere from $3,599 to $5,999 per ad. This cash cow has been enough for most of the pups’ parents to retire from their day jobs and become full-time animal agents.
