Fashion Trends Redditors Say Instantly Make Someone Unattractive

There may be some unspoken rules in fashion, like don’t mix prints, but when it comes to what looks good or what not to wear, it’s totally subjective. People really should wear whatever makes them happy, but that doesn’t mean everyone else is going to like it. And a new Reddit thread is proof of that.

It asks, “What is a piece of clothing or an accessory that makes a person immediately unattractive?” More than 4-thousand comments have come in and these are some of their ick-inducing fashion choices:

  • "Any shirt that has a long statement about how the person wants to be viewed. Like, 'I'M A BEER-DRINKING, HARD-WORKING, GUN-OWNING REAL MAN WHO EATS MEAT AND NEVER MAKES EXCUSES OR TAKES SHORTCUTS IN LIFE. IF YOU'RE TRIGGERED, TAKE A NUMBER. I'LL GET TO YOU IN ABOUT A YEAR.'"
  • "Crocs. I don't know why they got super popular. I know a few Gen Z'ers that try to collect special edition ones, but they are ugly. Just so so so ugly."
  • "Trilby or fedora hats. You’re not a) Harrison Ford or b) Jon Hamm. You just aren’t, bud. Accept it and move forward with your life, because every other man wearing these hats looks like a child playing dress up."
  • "The clothing/jackets that have cereal advertising all over them. Like, why? Why do you want to be a cereal box?"
  • "I may sound sacrilegious as a Southerner, but dear god, can people stop having 'camo' as their favorite color?"
  • "Any clothing with anime girls making that face."
  • "Men with pinky rings, ick."
  • "The one-huge-hole cut-out jeans. They’re normal jeans with one huge distressed hole in each leg cut from below the waistband to the cuff. When you sit, they literally fall off your legs."
  • "'Murica’ shirts. You know, the kind that say 'FREEDOM' or have an eagle and flag on them. "
  • "Shark tooth necklaces."
