Feeling stuck going into the new year? You know you need to move on and change something, but you’re totally stuck in a rut. The new year is the perfect time to get unstuck. But how do you do this? These eight changes will help you get unstuck.
- Change up your routine. Yes, it’s easier said than done but start small like driving a different way to work.
- Take an honest inventory of daily habits. Really look at your daily habits and see if there’s any habit that isn’t the best for you.. like eating a lot of sugar or drinking too much caffeine.
- Dream your desires into reality. Seriously, spend five minutes each daydreaming about what you want to happen. Even write them down!
- Cultivate a gratitude practice. Showing gratitude and thankfulness can really lift up your mood. Try and think of one thing you’re grateful for every day.
- Take a hike. Hiking up a mountain and reaching the top, in reality, is actually super metaphorical and can show you that you can reach your goals.
- Take the pressure off January. It’s overwhelming to try and do everything at once so don’t expect to get everything done in January.
- Know your why. Figure out what your motivation is for changing and write it down and put it somewhere you can see it.
- Don’t give up. Remind yourself that consistency’s important and that nothing is achieved overnight.
