Most Beautiful Sights In U.S. Based On Travel Reviews

New research finds the U.S. is home to the most beautiful sights in the world. A study by luxury travel company Kuoni analyzed more than 450-thousand Trip Advisor reviews to come up with the top 10 sights in Europe, the United States and around the world as of June 2022.

The reviews of 267 cities were searched to find the sights with the most mentions of the word “beautiful” to create the list. And it turns out, New York City’s Central Park tops both the U.S. and global lists, while three of the most beautiful sights in the country are found in California.

These are the top 10 most beautiful sights in the U.S., according to the study:

  1. Central Park, New York City - With nearly 23-thousand mentions of “beautiful” in the reviews, the most of any city in the world, this sight was named number one.
  2. Fountains of Bellagio, Las Vegas - The dazzling musical show at the Bellagio Hotel’s famous fountains in Vegas received 6,750 “beautiful” mentions.
  3. Chihuly Garden and Glass, Seattle - More than 8-thousand visitors mentioned this “beautiful” exhibition in Washington state that includes eight galleries, the centerpiece glasshouse and lush garden.
  4. Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco - This iconic sight takes the top spot out of three California cities, with more than 65-hundred mentions of “beautiful” in reviews.
  5. San Antonio River Walk - This popular Texas destination received just over 6-thousand “beautiful” mentions.
  6. Lincoln Memorial, Washington, D.C. - This large marble statue of the 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, provides impressive views of the nation’s capital and had 4,916 mentions of “beautiful” in reviews.
  7. Millennium Park, Chicago - Attractions including Lurie Garden, Chicago Cultural Center, and Art Institute of Chicago helped this sight earn its 4,813 mentions of “beautiful.”
  8. Balboa Park, San Diego - This Southern California destination is home to more than 16 museums, performing arts venues, trails and the San Diego Zoo, contributing to its 4,203 mentions.
  9. The Getty Center, Los Angeles - Another California sight, The Getty Center and museum received 3,902 “beautiful” mentions.
  10. Boston Public Gardens - Rounding out the top 10, America’s first public botanical garden was established in 1837 and had 3,725 mentions of its beauty in reviews.
