So as we all now by now, there was actually a fight on stage at the Oscars between Chris Rock and Will Smith. It all started when Chris cracked a joke at the expense of Will’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head, which neither liked and Will actually got out of his seat and slapped Chris, and, while it was bleeped he said, “Keep my wife’s name out of your (bleeping) mouth!” from his seat.
During his acceptance speech for Best Actor, Will seemed to try and make an excuse for his behavior, noting he was a “fierce defender of his family,” and apologized to the Academy.
As you can imagine, the moment did not go unnoticed on Twitter, who was in a uproar over it, with some just shocked, and others wondering why Will wasn't kicked out after the slap. Check out the reactions:
