Our dreams could actually be trying to tell us something while were sleeping. There’s usually significance that can be found in our dreams so it’s important to acknowledge the context of them. Dreaming about dating and relationships could be a reflection of something deeper going on in our own relationships that we aren't consciously aware of. According to the dream experts at “Your Tango”, here are some of the most common relationship dreams and the meanings behind them.
- Cheating. Dreams about you or your partner being unfaithful can suggest feelings of insecurity in your own life. You may fear that your partner is actually cheating on you and so those thoughts carry over into your dreams. They could also indicate feelings of guilt about something you’re hiding from your partner. You could also just be craving more intimacy. The good news? They probably don’t indicate that your partner is actually cheating.
- Breakups. These dreams represent feelings of anger, an upcoming emotional breakdown, as well as insecurity. You may fear losing your partner, or something else leaving your life. They could also suggest you want to escape from your relationship.
- Dating. You could be wanting and needing affection. If you dream about dating someone you actually know – whether you find them or attractive or not – it means it's a good time to define what you’re looking for in a partner or what you feel you’re missing.
- Incompatibility. There could be a lack of peace and an imbalance in your current relationship or there’s something that needs to be fixed and worked on.
