3 in 4 Workers Are Considering Quitting Their Jobs In 2022

A wave of people in 2021 have been leaving their jobs left and right for new opportunities. It’s a phenomenon experts have referred to as, “The Great Resignationand according to a new survey – the trend isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

The British job website,CV-Library, found in a new survey (that could easily translate here) that most workers are planning to look for different jobs in the new year. Out of the 2,000 employees surveyed, 3 in 4 say they’re considering joining The Great Resignation and turning in a notice at their current job sometime in 2022.

Reasons of people quitting their job vary from person to person, but the survey reveals these are themost common reasons:

  • A general career change
  • Wanting better pay
  • Looking for more flexible working arrangements
  • Feeling ‘burnt out’

Half of those surveyed said they knew someone else who resigned this year which prompted them to re-evaluate their own work situations. Some even said they’ve been planning their resignation since the pandemic but just delayed actually doing it.
