8 Movies Worth Visiting Theaters For On Thanksgiving

Of course, you can stream pretty much any movie you want in 2021 but there’s nothing that can truly replace the movie theatre experience. Thanksgiving weekend is one of the best times to create memories with the family by hitting up the movie theatres. It’s also when some of the most highly anticipated films of the year are released. Here’s a list that includes new movies for everyone this Thanksgiving weekend:

  1. Encanto– Disney’s Encanto tells the story of Mirabel, a young girl who lives in a magical house with her extended family in Colombia.
  2. Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City– This movie doesn’t have an actual connection to the earlier Resident Evil films. Instead, it closely follows the storyline from the video games.
  3. Licorice Pizza– A coming-of-age film set in the 1970’s, the story revolves around two young teens who fall in love and deal with everything that comes with that.
  4. Ghostbusters: Afterlife– This “Ghostbusters” follows the events from the OG films. When a family moves into a new, rural town, they uncover a familial connection to the iconic Ghostbusters.
  5. House of Gucci– Starring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver as Patrizia and Maurizio Gucci, this drama takes a deep dive into the Gucci family, exploring Maurizio Gucci’s eventual murder.
  6. King Richard– The incredible true story of Serena and Venus Williams and how their father, played by Will Smith, played a critical role in both their lives and careers.
  7. Clifford The Big Red Dog- This movie is a walk down memory lane sure to be a walk down memory lane as it revolves around the bond between a young girl and her gigantic red puppy, Clifford.
  8. Eternals- The film follows the events of “Avengers: Endgame” when the Eternals race to help humanity against a vicious threat.
