Everything old is new again, and now that includes the Tramp Stamp. Along with low rise jeans and skinny brows, tramp stamps are making a comeback after more than a decade of being considered a faux pas.
It’s all part of the current resurgence of 90s and early aughts fashion trends that Gen Z is embracing. Celebrities like Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie have admitted they regret getting their lower backs tatted. But it looks like Gen Z doesn’t see them as trashy like Gen X and millennials have come to.
In fact, part of what makes it cool again is that it was out of fashion for so long. “I think they’re so sexy and they’ve always been a sex symbol,” Erin tells “Metro” UK. “Because it’s a place not everyone gets to see.”
