Parents Upset Over Lunchables Shortage

Having a hard time finding Lunchables at the supermarket? Now that the kids are back in school, parents are noticing the lunchbox staple missing from grocery store shelves. Lunchables, those pre-packaged DIY meal kits with cheese, crackers, and kid-approved meals like pizza and hot dogs, are tough to find these days.

And that makes packing food their little ones will actually eat a challenge for some moms and dads. Some upset parents have taken to social media to complain about the missing Lunchables and ask when they’ll be back in stores. “What is going on with the Lunchables,” asks someone on theLunchables Instagrampage. And another comments, “Please restock all stores that sell your product because nobody can find Lunchables any more across the US!!”

So what is the reason there seems to be a shortage? Kraft Heinz, the company that makes Lunchables, blames an increase in demand for their product and they assure fans they’re ramping up production. “We’re actively investing in our supply chains and have teams working fast and furiously so our retailers and consumers can get more of the Kraft Heinz products they love,” the company says.
