After all the stress of planning a wedding, most couples take off to relax and celebrate their love with a special honeymoon. But not all post-wedding vacations go smoothly, and now some people are opening up about their disasters.
A new thread on the anonymous Whisper app has couples sharing just what went wrong on their disastrous honeymoons, and let’s just say we doubt that’s what they had expected from the trip.
Disastrous honeymoon stories include:
- "My honeymoon sucked. I got sick the first day and threw up in the middle of the night and was fine after. Hubby got sick the next day with the same bug.”
- “I was in the middle of having sex with my husband on our honeymoon and my mother-in-law decided to “check in” on us. My husband looked her in the eyes in the most serious ways and she exited.”
- “My in-laws went with me on my honeymoon. The marriage didn’t last long.”
- “I cheated on my husband on our honeymoon with a guy serving food to our hotel room. We did it in the bath while he was locked out of the room. I told him I was in the shower.”
- “I got food poisoning during my honeymoon in Hawaii. Instead of enjoying the beach I spent the trip vomiting from our hotel room.”
- “My husband forgot to pack condoms for our honeymoon and I think I might be pregnant but I’m too scared to take the test. I’m not ready for a baby.”
- “My soon to be ex-wife is currently on our honeymoon with another man.”
- “My honeymoon made me realize just how much he doesn’t know me. We’re not having a good time at all.”
