Do you like singing in the shower? If that’s not your thing, you might want to start. A new study shows that singing in the shower actually boosts your mood.
According to Harvey Water Softeners’ research, belting out your favorite song in the shower for a few days can make you happier, more alert and energized. Comparing one week of shower singing versus a week without it showed a difference in happiness levels.
There’s some science behind it, too. When you’re singing, you’re breathing more deeply than usual. Boosting your oxygen levels sends a message to your brain to “calm down,” slowing your heart rate and blood pressure and relaxing your blood vessels.
