62% In Long-Term Relationships Keeping Ex On 'Back Burner' During Pandemic

According to a new study, the majority of Americans are hiding having a plan B relationship from their significant other during the lockdown. But wait… it gets worse. The backup boo that they have waiting in the wings is more than likely to be their ex.

  • Researchers have found a whopping 62% of folks with a long-term partner are keeping someone on the “back burner” and half said it’s a former lover that they’re keeping on stand-by.
  • And if you’re wondering if their partner is cool with it, the answer is no. The study found these people must be sneaking around to keep things simmering with an ex because almost all of them said their current relationship is exclusive.

Turns out that when it comes to shacking back up with an ex, women are actually more likely to partake than men.

  • Apparently, 54% of women have had sex with a former partner compared to just 44% of men. But don’t judge them too harshly.
  • Only 14% of the study said they hopped back into the sack with an ex to try to get them back.

The majority of those polled say they do it simply because it was comforting. And who couldn’t use a little comforting after this past year?
