In your dating career, youโre sure to experience your fair share of bad dates. Some are salvageable but others make you uncomfortable enough to know you need to get out of there ASAP. If you know that a second date is out of the question and want to leave without making the bad date any worse, this is how to do it.
- End Your Date With A Simple โThank You.โ Therapist Meredith Prescott recommends saying something like โI appreciate you coming here to meet me for [insert activity], but I think I am going to head out. โItโs courteous, polite, and doesnโt leave your date with any false hopes.
- End Your Date By Being Upfront And Honest. No one is telling you to sayโ your breath is nasty and you look nothing like your Tinder picโฆ so Iโm out!โ Thereโs a difference between being honest and being brutally honest. If youโre not feeling a romantic connection, tell them. If you want to get specific about a behavior that turned you off, thatโs up to you, but you donโt need to give them any explanation. Just donโt lead them on and ghost them.
