There would be a lot more washboard abs in the world if it wasn’t for all these pesky jobs. According to a new study, nearly six in 10 employees are “neglecting physical health due to work life.” So much for that home gym next to your home office.
Turns out working from home isn’t the stress-free life many thought it could be. Not only are people still being overworked to the point they have no energy to exercise, the number of people who say they’re “completely satisfied with life” has dropped from 67% in February 2020 to 57% in March 2021. Yes, if “Life” was a product on Amazon, there would be a hell of a lot of one-star reviews right now.
But there’s still time for us to take our health back and stop sacrificing so much of ourselves at work. Here are some of the expert’s biggest tips to follow as life and work are getting back to “normal.”
- Make a commitment to leave work on time most days.
- Book in some wellness-focused time.
- Prioritize sleep.
- Use an out-of-office email.
- Turn off notifications.
- Find a passion or hobby that’s nothing to do with your working life.
