Netflix Unveils Star-Studded Movie Lineup for This Year

Netflix will be serving up 70 new movies in 2021, at least one every week, and the lineup is star-studded. The streaming giant has unveiled its 2021 movie slate, featuring A-list actors like Dwayne “The Rock”, Gal Gadot, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Reynolds and more. Here are the highlights:

  • “Red Notice”: An action film centering on a “global alert to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted.” The Rock plays the FBI’s top profiler, and Gadot and Reynolds play rival criminals.
  • “Don’t Look Up”: This sci-fi flick comes from “Succession” director Adam McKay, telling the story of two astronomers who go on a giant media tour warning mankind of an approaching comet that could destroy planet earth. It stars DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence and Jonah Hill.
  • “Bad Trip”: This comedy starring Eric Andrew, Tiffany Haddish and Lil Rel Howery was supposed to hit theaters last year, and now fans will finally get to see it in 2021. 

There’s also “Concrete Cowboy” starring Idris Elba, Halle Berry’s directorial debut “Bruised,” the superhero comedy “Thunder Force” starring Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer, and the action flick “Escape from Spiderhead” starring Chris Hemsworth and Jurnee Smollett.
