Where To Find Food And Assistance In Benton County After The Tornadoes

From 5 News Online — Tornadoes ripped through Benton County in the early morning of Sunday, May 26, leaving extensive damage throughout the area. 

The severe weather caused at least eight deaths and multiple injuries—many are still listed as being in critical condition. There are currently downed power lines, fallen trees, and multiple gas leaks. 

Thousands of people have been displaced from their homes being severely damaged or power being out. Some electric companies are telling customers to expect to be out of power for multiple days. Here's how to check power outages.

In the meantime, several organizations and the community as a whole are coming together to help those who were displaced by Sunday morning's tornadoes.

Several churches such as Bentonville Community Church, First Baptist Church of Decatur, SOCO Church in Bentonville, and New Life Church extended support to the community with hot meals, electricity, and groceries.
