Colombian superstar J Balvin is no stranger to success. Over the years during his career he has achieved so much becoming one of the top crossover artists. When I say crossover, I mean one of the main Latin artists to do collaborations with English dominant artists creating bilingual songs. He has collabs with Justin Bieber, and even more recently Ed Sheeran! But even with all the success and money it doesn't take away that he is human just like anyone else and has been very open about his struggles with depression and anxiety. He spoke with the Wall Street Journal recently about the importance of mental wellness.

This was a big reason for him being the co founder of Oye Wellness, a new app to help people with their mental wellness. The app's mission statement says,

"OYE is a safe place to connect with your mind, body, and community through wellness content that meets you where you are and takes you where you want to go."

This seems like a really great business venture for Balvin in which could be a tool to help many who struggle with the same.

And let's remember that Balvin is a new Dad to son Rio, and is probably a big reason to wanting to be mentally healthy.
