Your 20s are all about learning and growing. A big part of doing that is by making mistakes. It’s OK to make mistakes in your 20s, that’s what they’re for! Just make sure you’re learning from those mistakes.
Learning from other people’s mistakes is also a good way to learn and grow. Laura Lifshitz, who’s nearing the end of her 30s, shared with “YourTango” the love mistakes she made in her 20s that she’ll “never, ever repeat again” because they “set the bar too low” for her.
You may want to learn from her mistakes, too. Here are ten of them.
- Ignoring the nice guys/girls.
- Letting them do all the work.
- Telling the truth too much, too often.
- Tolerating disrespect.
- Letting partners treat you like a puppet.
- Putting all your eggs into one basket.
- Relying on someone else for your happiness.
- Needing men/women instead of wanting them.
- Not dating around.
- Not enjoying what you had.
